POSITION OVERVIEW //

The Entertainment Manager will successfully operate programs, events, and entertainment sold by the sales team, including the planning, organizing, and controlling of events to meet contractual obligations and Destinations by Design operations service standards.  Duties include the items listed below, as well as any other responsibilities required by the Executive Team.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES //

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Communicate effectively through written correspondence and verbal communication with clients, hotel/venue contacts, and internal teams.
  • Oversee the maintenance, organization, and coordination of costumes.
  • Manage and direct the work of lighting, design, and sound crew members to ensure seamless production.
  • Collaborate with technical directors, managers, crew members, and writers to finalize production details, including photography, music, sets, and costumes.
  • Maintain clear communication with announcers, cast members, and technicians during performances.
  • Set and manage program pacing and sequences to meet time requirements and accommodate cast and set accessibility.
  • Identify and approve production elements, such as scenery, lighting, props, costumes, choreography, and music.
  • Work closely with clients to determine the type and number of performers required for specific events.
  • Conduct auditions and interviews to match performers' attributes with specific roles and expand the talent pool.
  • Select performers for various events, ensuring suitability for the roles.
  • Maintain and update talent files, including information on performers’ specialties, past performances, and availability.
  • Prepare and brief performers/talent for their respective events or roles.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and talent agents to ensure smooth communication and planning.
  • Conduct research and development to discover new entertainment talent.

Qualifications


DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & QUALIFICATIONS //

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience within the entertainment, hotel, event, or hospitality industry
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in theatrical entertainment, including stage management, choreography, and costumes.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Maintain a valid Nevada Driver’s License, have own transportation, and be insurable under the company’s liability insurance policy.
  • Travel as needed (10%).
  • Ability to work successfully and solve problems in a deadline-driven environment where multitasking is commonplace.
  • Extensive computer experience and knowledge, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and coworkers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS //

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
