POSITION OVERVIEW //
The Graphic Design and Production Artist works closely with design leadership as a visual storyteller that engages, informs, and inspires. The ideal candidate possesses an advanced knowledge of current design software and is skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer will take written or spoken ideas and convert them into thoughtful designs to achieve the project’s goals. The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a thorough understanding of branding and marketing best practices, and can recommend the right style and layout based on final medium.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES //
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Create graphics to fulfill a multitude of project needs

Understand in-house prop inventory and be able to create designs accordingly

Responsible for supporting the production of high-quality print-ready files and apply proficiency of print and pre-flight files for in-house and/or outsource vendor to produce

Assist and manage large-format printers

Generate digital proofs and analyze graphics files from clients

Call-out substrates to be used on variable printings
-
Maintain graphic archives
-
Attend site-inspections and measure areas for graphic creative need

Utilize appropriate techniques and tools to cut, glue and assemble props
-
Effectively communicate project status, challenges and production timeline issues
-
Work independently and efficiently, with superb attention to detail, while under pressure, within aggressive deadlines

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & QUALIFICATIONS //
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- 3 – 5 years graphic design experience
- Associate’s College degree (preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Suite programs: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Portfolio required; must complete a design test within a specific time frame
- Strong creative design and layout skills
- Have a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail
- Ability to perform in team environment with minimal supervision
- In office full-time position
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS //
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
