What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Skill Builder position at Destiny Services Inc?
Mental Health Skill Builders provide a comprehensive array of mental health services. Duties include providing training and support to individuals with mental illness. They work with adults within the community providing instruction and assistance in daily living skills, medication management, health monitoring, access to community resources, assist with treatment plans, completion of quarterly reviews and maintains regular documentation of service delivery. This position requires counselors to transport their assigned individuals in their personal vehicles during delivery of services. A successful candidates must have excellent interpersonal, crisis response and communication skills with an ability to build successful professional relationships at all levels. They must also be self-motivated with a willingness to develop professionally and constantly apply new knowledge to their work. Must have at least one year of experience with adults plus an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in one of the human services field (social work, gerontology, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, special education, sociology)
