Coat Check Attendant

Reports to: Clubhouse Manager
Supervises: No supervisory duties included in this position.
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Assist members and guests checking items such as coats, hats, purses, scarves and/or luggage with a friendly and personable demeanor.
Job Tasks/Duties:
- Greet all members, guests and employees with a smile and a positive attitude
- Use member and guest names whenever possible
- Check all member and guest items with care and respect
- Issue a claim check for all items received into the coat check
- Know the layout of the building and be able to provide directions
- Knowledge of daily events and their locations, times etc.
- Return all checked items upon receipt of a corresponding claim check from the member or guest
- Know and understand Club’s emergency procedures
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Occasional bending, stooping, lifting and pulling
- Frequent sitting, walking and standing
- Continuous repetitive actions
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma, GED equivalent or higher required
