Description
The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the guest rooms assigned. Previous cleaning experience as well as the ability to communicate to guests preferred.
Responsibilities:
Cleans all areas of the property's guest rooms according to standards and procedures.
Assigned responsibilities typically include changing linens and making beds, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and dusting guest rooms, emptying trash, maintaining cleanliness of balconies and terraces, cleaning and dusting room furnishings as assigned.
Restocks guestroom amenities and literature as needed.
Maintains linen closet in a clean, neat and orderly manner. Assists with restocking as assigned.
Responds to guest requests pertaining to room cleanliness, amenities and linen to exceed guest satisfaction
Communication is a VIP turn on walkie- talkie the entire shift.
Fill out GRA’s Daily Report for cleaning assignment. Note any special instructions given by supervisor or front desk clerk
Qualifications
Must be able to sweep, mop, use a vacuum cleaner, dust and wipe surfaces vertically and horizontally.
Must be able to work with chemicals such as: bleach, bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner and floor cleaner.
Communicate with other hotel departments regarding problem which may need their attention.
Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals, items that may or suspect they contain bloodborne pathogens, or sharps (needle) instrument.
Must attend and participate in department safety training.
Requires working at a fast paced and must be quick and efficient when completing assigned tasks or rooms.

Constantly (6-8Hours) Required to stand, walk, use hands and arms to reach overhead.
Occasionally (Up to 3 hours) Required to sit, climb, balance stoop, kneel crouch and crawl.
Constantly (6-8 Hours) Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
