GENERAL SUMMARY:
We are looking for a new member of our fantastic team! Excellent phone and communication skills, positive and kind, we're looking for a great team member! Our Perfect new team member is responsible for warmly welcoming patients and determining the nature of their visit. Performs duties associated with check-in process including verification of eligibility and benefits on all insurances, generation of referral forms and data entry. Responds to patient inquiries. Completes check-out process including the scheduling of appointments for return visits and procedures conducted in the office. Has ample customer service experience, is comfortable with an entirely web based EMR platform. Willing to learn and become expert at office procedures and products offered. 20-28 Hours a week for part time, 36- 40 hrs/ week full time. Opportunity to gain new skills. Cross training with back office and rooming patients and medical EMR use.

Some prolonged standing, sitting and viewing of computer screen, ability to deal with stressors associated with technical work environment, patient care and rare urgent/emergency situations. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year experience in a Medical Front Desk setting. MUST HAVE Modernizing Medicine (EMA) or EPIC or Advanced MD experience. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE REQUIRED EXPERIENCE.
SKILLS: General clerical skills including basic computer knowledge and the ability to type 30 words per minute. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Correct grammar, polite and caring demeanor. Demonstrates self-motivation and organizational abilities. Emphasis on positive and helpful customer service, team oriented approach to help maintain enjoyable and inclusive work environment for all.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides new patients all necessary forms to establish a medical chart. Reviews all documents to ensure required fields and signatures are complete.
Performs data entry of new patient insurance information.
Reviews patients insurance and updates patient records as needed.
Collects patient payments for office visits and outstanding balance.
Facilitates physician call back/patient follow up.
Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
Assists with housekeeping duties of the office as needed.
Learn in office retail skin care so are able to answer basic patient questions.
