The Staff Electrical Hardware Display Engineering role will apply engineering principles to generate designs that solve complex problems. The areas of focus will include Display LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) design, SRU (Shop Replaceable Unit) electrical design.
Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role:
Design and Develop Electrical Components and Subsystems for display products.
- Support concept to production H/W including requirements analysis, electronic design, debug, test, and qualification.
- Lead design, development, and test Electronic H/W products, components, and subsystems.
- Develop detailed circuit board specifications, LRU level specifications, ICD's, and test plans.
- Support component selection, procurement, and oversight of prototype hardware build.
- Develop engineering design fixes, and coordinate solutions.
- Develop concepts to support advanced technology initiatives, IRADS, proposals, and demonstrators.
- Strong record keeping skills with commitment to tracking design changes, debug status, H/W and S/W revisions.
- Knowledge and experience in display technologies (LCD, OLED, LED) a must.
- Hands-on experience in methods and equipment used for display metrology and familiarity with display architecture and design.
- Experience with Display technologies and Video Distribution Techniques preferred.
- LED Bezel design experience.
- Ruggedization of Display LRUs.
- Touch Screen technology interface.
- Head Mount Display (HMD) experience.
- Display Metrology/Measurements experience.
- Knowledge in LCD backlight design and characterization.
Qualifications Sought:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. Other technical degrees will be considered with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Display design or related position.
- Familiarity with Military Standards and Test Requirements.
- Ability to use engineering development and test tools.
