What are the responsibilities and job description for the MBSE System Engineer(SysML/Doors) position at Detroit Engineered Products?
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will :
- Support requirements development and management.
- Develop subsystem and component performance specifications by analyzing and deriving necessary requirements.
- Develop and maintain requirements verification and compliance, and supporting artifacts.
- Coordinate and facilitate architecture development of assigned system, subsystems, and components.
- Support development and maintenance of interface requirements and interface design information for assigned sub-system, system and components.
- Document concept design decisions and support generating System / Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments.
- Coordinate and facilitate formal decisions and trade studies to drive design and document results.
- Support the performing and monitoring of cost, schedule, and risk.
- Coordinate Systems Engineering activities to influence the design.
- Support vehicle level Systems Engineering activities and program milestone reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4 year’s relevant experience.
- Systems engineering experience performing requirements analysis, derivation and allocation, and translating requirements to viable concepts design solutions within applicable constraints.
- Experience developing architecture concepts and evaluating alternatives.
- Able to balance system design considering system concept of operations (CONOPS), performance, constraints, and logistics concerns.
- Able to plan, conduct, and document trade studies.
- Able to generate System / Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments per the program statement of work (SOW).
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering.
- Experience with vehicle systems.
- Logical architecture experience, including development of use cases.
- Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including SysML methodology and tools like Cameo.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
- Experience with DOORS requirements management tool.
- Have and maintain INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
