The Administrative Assistant at Detroit Golf Club plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations by providing high-level administrative support to club management, Board, Committees, and staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the General Manager, Board, Committee Chairs, and department heads.
- Manage phone calls, emails, mail, and other communications.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and maintain calendars.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, meeting agendas, and minutes.
- Maintain member and staff records with confidentiality and accuracy.
- Assist in coordinating details for club events, meetings, and member communications.
- Support front desk and reception duties as needed.
- Handle supply ordering, vendor communications, and invoice tracking.
- Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical).
- Performs ad hoc duties and completes projects assigned by the General Manager.
- Uphold the club’s professional image through excellent interpersonal communication
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years of administrative experience; hospitality or club setting is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with club management software (e.g., Jonas, Club essential) is a plus
- Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with standard office hours with an opportunity to work from home part of the time.
- May require prolonged sitting or standing and occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 20 lbs)
