Detroit Golf Club is a premier private club in Detroit, MI. The historical Albert Kahn clubhouse sits along two Donald Ross-designed 18-hole courses. The club cultivates a welcoming atmosphere and garners a sense of camaraderie for members and employees alike. Along with an active environment, Detroit Golf Club hosts, The Rocket Classic PGA tournament through 2027.
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a Line Cook at the Detroit Golf Club for the upcoming golf season. As a member of the kitchen team, you will prepare food as directed by the Chef of the club. Cooks to order in a timely manner and issues to servers as ordered based on details provided by recipe cards to ensure menu plate consistency, i.e. preparation, portioning and garnishing of foods. Provide excellence in product and maintains cost controls.
Requirements : Responsibilities :
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
- Maintains a clean work station at all times
- Follows recipe specs and chef’s directions
- Notifies chef and or sous chefs of short or needed items in a timely manner
- Opens and closes his or her station in a proper manner according to guidelines
- Follows any other instructions as directed by the Executive Chef our sous Chef’s
