Job Duties:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks, including:
Treatment Planning and Implementation:
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
- Implement therapeutic exercises, modalities, and other interventions as prescribed by the physical therapist
Patient Education:
- Instruct patients and family members on proper techniques and home exercise programs
- Provide education on disease management, prevention, and wellness
Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy or related field
- Current license to practice as a PTA in the state of Michigan
- One year of experience in a clinical setting preferred
