We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interview patients to obtain, verify, or update medical history and assess risk factors.
- Explain procedures to patients, including side effects of pharmaceuticals administered, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up instructions.
The successful candidate will set up equipment and acquire appropriate images as per script, reviewing them for initial observations and documenting exceptions from established protocols. Strong technical knowledge and manual dexterity are essential for operating and utilizing all types of x-ray equipment and supplies.
As a member of our team, you will participate in process improvement activities within radiology practice, including quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction. You will also provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
