About the Position:
As a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include instructing patients and family members on therapeutic exercises, overseeing students and volunteers, and participating in program development and education activities.
You will assist Physical Therapists in patient evaluation and assess functional skills of patients. Your duties will include providing individual patient treatment, administering modality treatments, and measuring and recommending equipment such as wheelchairs, orthoses, and assistive devices.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in patient evaluation and assessment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Administer modality treatments, including heat, cold, and electrical stimulation.
- Measure and recommend equipment for patients, including wheelchairs and orthoses.
