Job Title: Lead Ultrasound Technologist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Detroit Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the flow of work, delegating tasks, and ensuring that departmental policies and procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise ultrasound technologists in performing diagnostic procedures
- Coordinate workflow, delegate tasks, and ensure efficient operation of the department
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and DMC policies
- Implement audit recommendations and maintain quality standards
Requirements:
- Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
- Two or more years progressively more responsible Ultrasound Technologist work experience
Skills:
- Analytical and clinical skills to determine age-appropriate methods for providing ultrasound services
- Interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with patients and hospital personnel
- Technical knowledge to operate specialized equipment and computers
