Position Summary: The Program Associate I will be responsible for providing financial analysis and oversight of Central Office department spending, ensuring accuracy in requisition processes. This role will reconcile data across budget management systems (SharePoint Lists, PowerBI, Planning Analytics, and PeopleSoft) to maintain precise budget tracking and reporting. Additionally, the Program Associate I will ensure all financial activities align with Board-approved budgets and support the District's Strategic Plan. The position will report directly to the Senior Director of Budget and Planning.

Minimum Qualifications
- BS/BA degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience with strong financial and data analysis skills, preferred.
- Experience with budget management tools, specifically SharePoint Lists, PowerBi, and Excel. Planning Analytics and PeopleSoft, preferred.
- Track Central Office spending and budget changes.
- Regularly review and interpret financial data from PowerBI dashboards to ensure accurate reporting and analysis of budget utilization and financial forecasts
- Reconcile SharePoint Lists with PeopleSoft - ensuring budget allocations, expenditures, and adjustments are properly synchronized between systems
- Process budget adjustments within budget guidelines
- Ensure compliance with department and alignment with the district statregic plan and initiatives
- Assist in the preparation of the annual adopted budgets as well as any subsequent amendments
- Serving as a liaison between departments for budget management software (Planning Analytics) and budget utilization dashboards (PowerBi)
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support budget planning and decision-making
- Work independently and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Participate in budget meetings and provide input on budget strategies and priorities Respond timely to information request, remain deadline-focused and customer-service oriented
- Reviewing budget requests, and assigning appropriate account strings based accounting requirements
- Complete ad hoc financial analysis requests
- Complete other duties as assigned and required for effective operations of the budget department
