What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baseball Information Assistant position at Detroit Tigers?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with day-to-day video operations during Spring Training.
- Assist the coaching staff’s preparation of advance scouting reports and defensive positioning.
- Run Trackman B1 units along with Edgertronic cameras during bullpen sessions and Live Batting Practices.
- Upload data and video, available to coaches and front office personnel.
- Record any on-field activity as requested.
- During games set up 7 cameras, chart every pitch on BATS, and upload post-game.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Must be knowledgeable about baseball.
- Familiarity working with Video Editing Software, Trackman, Blast, BATS, and/or Edgertronic cameras a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Outdoor and office environment in Lakeland, FL
- Some evening, weekend and holiday hours will be required.
