Job Summary:
The Game Presentation Manager & Graphics Producer is responsible for shaping, producing, and executing the in-ballpark show and experience for the Detroit Tigers. This role involves overseeing the design, creation, and implementation of graphics, animations, and visual assets used during Tigers games while collaborating on the conceptual development of dynamic and engaging in-game content and programming. The Game Presentation Manager & Graphics Producer also assists with game scripting and serves in a rotation of producers responsible for show-calling on gamedays.
Collaboration with multiple departments is essential to develop effective game presentation solutions and produce high-quality visuals that enhance the fan experience, deliver sponsor messages, and align with brand guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Work alongside the Creative Services content team to design and develop graphics and animations for videoboards, LED boards, and digital signage.
Create and maintain motion graphics and animations to engage audiences during live events.
Develop team sponsor-specific content, ensuring compliance with sponsorship agreements.
Oversee graphic operations for the in-game show, including the operation of graphic systems during live events to ensure accurate and timely delivery of content.
Implement produced graphics into Xpression and Tessera workflows.
Design and program dashboards for efficient playback of produced content.
Work closely with the game production team to integrate graphics into live programming.
Troubleshoot technical or design issues during events to maintain seamless production.
Partner with marketing, sponsorship, and creative teams to understand branding and event goals.
Coordinate with content creation team video editors, producers, and game-day operations staff.
Act as the point of contact for last-minute graphic updates or changes on game day.
Develop templates and graphic packages for recurring use alongside the content creation team.
Stay updated on industry trends to innovate and improve production quality.
Maintain a library of graphic assets for easy access and use.
Collaborate with the Game Presentation Producer to conceptualize and develop event scripts, rundowns, and timing sheets.
Assist in organizing and scheduling production meetings to align all stakeholders.
Coordinate with marketing, sponsorship, and game operations teams to seamlessly incorporate promotions, brand activations, and sponsor obligations into the game presentation.
Support talent casting, music selection, and video production needs for in-game entertainment.
Ensure all creative assets (e.g., videos, graphics, and sound files) are prepared and cued for the event.
Collaborate to establish the overall vision of the in-ballpark show production and fan experience.
Develop in-game content and programming concepts that align with the vision and provide a uniquely Detroit Tigers experience for all fans.
Help compose comprehensive and unique game scripts in a timely manner, allowing for additional collaboration and pre-production, including detailed PA Announcer and Ballpark Host copy and talking points.
Serve as a producer ("Show Caller") for some Detroit Tigers home games, seamlessly integrating show elements and technology while directing production staff (Control Room, Stage Manager, Lighting, Audio, DJ, Organist, PA Announcer, In-Game Host, Promotions Team, etc.) in a fast-paced environment.
Establish, maintain, and grow collaborative relationships with game night staff and talent, providing constructive development and feedback to lighting and audio leads, DJs, organists, PA Announcer, on-camera talent, and control room technical crew.
Develop effective organizational-wide means of communication and serve as a reliable, reachable event-day contact.
Work cross-functionally with other departments to collaborate on new opportunities and experiences, providing effective solutions and content ideas.
Continuously evaluate league and industry best practices to provide new and creative ideas that enhance the in-ballpark show and fan experience.
Explore timely technological, production, and equipment enhancements to ensure a best-in-class experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Media Production, or a related field.
4 years of experience in live event production or sports entertainment, preferably with graphic production.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator).
Familiarity with graphic display systems (Daktronics, Ross Xpression, Chyron, or similar).
Knowledge of live video production workflows and broadcast standards.
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines during live events.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong attention to detail and creativity.
Working Conditions:
Must be available for evening, weekend, and holiday events.
Ability to lift and move production equipment (up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]).
May require extended hours during peak seasons or playoff events.
