Key Responsibilities
The NVOCC Operations Supervisor duties and responsibilities will include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Oversee NVOCC licensure to ensure compliance with standard industry practice;
- Serve as a subject matter expert regarding FMC laws and regulations;
- Maintain rate filing management for FMC filings including tariff management;
- Provide trainings for employees and continuously train existing employees on various NVOCC matters;
- Monitor billing between the NVOCC and various deugro entities;
- Ensuring the correct usage of Bill of Ladings;
- Maintain oversight of bookings with carriers;
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and related documentation for reporting;
- Develop and implement processes for improvements for the NVOCC;
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies;
- Provide exceptional customer service, internally and externally, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally;
- All other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree;
- At least 3 years’ experience working specifically in export compliance;
- Experience working in logistics required;
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability to handle multiple, competing workloads with changing priorities to meet necessary deadlines;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be familiar with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate well with customers.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must be familiar with the data works system and be able to input and retrieve data.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Very meticulous with strong planning, organizational, project management and analytical skills.
