Key Responsibilities

The NVOCC Operations Supervisor duties and responsibilities will include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Oversee NVOCC licensure to ensure compliance with standard industry practice;
• Serve as a subject matter expert regarding FMC laws and regulations;
• Maintain rate filing management for FMC filings including tariff management;
• Provide trainings for employees and continuously train existing employees on various NVOCC matters;
• Monitor billing between the NVOCC and various deugro entities;
• Ensuring the correct usage of Bill of Ladings;
• Maintain oversight of bookings with carriers;
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and related documentation for reporting;
• Develop and implement processes for improvements for the NVOCC;
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies;
• Provide exceptional customer service, internally and externally, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally;
• All other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree;
• At least 3 years’ experience working specifically in export compliance;
• Experience working in logistics required;
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability to handle multiple, competing workloads with changing priorities to meet necessary deadlines;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be familiar with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate well with customers.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be familiar with the data works system and be able to input and retrieve data.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Very meticulous with strong planning, organizational, project management and analytical skills.
• Analytical and conceptual thinker, initiative-taker, and collaborator.
• Client-driven and performance driven.
• Detail-oriented and works in an organized fashion.
• Ability to handle projects individually and take ownership. Team focused.
