Overview
In the Payments domain, you will play a key role in supporting corporate clients by ensuring seamless payment operations. Your work will directly impact multinational corporations by enhancing their ability to monitor payments made to employees, suppliers, and beneficiaries in real time through mobile and web applications. By collaborating with top management and engineering teams, you'll help drive the Bank's profitability and deliver world-class applications that ensure operational efficiency on a global scale. As a Full Stack Java Engineer, you will contribute to mission-critical projects using modern Java technologies and agile development practices.

What You'll Do
Develop and maintain mission-critical applications as part of a cross-functional, agile team
Work across the full stack, including React JS for user interface (UI) / UX, backend microservices, and PL / SQL for database management
Engage in the full software development lifecycle, from design to development, testing, and deployment in an Agile environment
Contribute to design discussions and specifications, providing technical analysis and proposing solutions for complex problems
Implement highly scalable, low-latency, and multi-threaded systems using Java, Spring, and RESTful services
Collaborate with engineers and participate in code reviews, ensuring best practices are followed and solutions are optimized for performance
Skills You'll Need
Proven experience in Java development with a strong focus on multi-threading and server-side architecture
Proficiency in developing microservices and RESTful services using Java, Spring, and Java EE
Hands-on experience with source control tools (Git, Bitbucket) and build tools (Maven, Gradle)
Familiarity with cloud technologies like Global Control Programme (GCP), Azure, or Fabric (preferred but not mandatory)
Strong knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and experience optimizing queries for performance
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Excellent problem-solving skills in a distributed, multi-technology ecosystem
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams
Self-starter with a passion for automation and delivering high-quality software solutions
Experience with Kafka, Message Queue (MQ) Messaging, and knowledge of Apache Camel or Flink (a plus)
Knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Kanban, and experience with automation frameworks like jBehave or Cucumber
Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $85,000 to $120,750. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
