Overview
This is a Product Owner role with the Trade Surveillance technology area in the compliance technology division. The division within the Bank aims to build scenarios to detect market manipulation via various statistical and rules-based techniques. It is also responsible to provide a fit-for-purpose UI to research alerts via graphs and analytical signals. The role would entail leading the technology team to ensure the technical deliverables are delivered within the agreed timelines.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. - Manage project scope, schedule, and roadmap using Agile methodologies, improve team processes and delivery methods adjusting as needed and provide transparency through regular reporting and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee financial aspects of the project, including tracking actual spend and forecasting costs throughout the project lifecycle
- Validate and align functional and business requirements, ensuring thorough documentation
- Support data and systems analysis to document and understand the current state as well as drive client and information Technology (IT) signoffs on requirements through walkthroughs, presentations, and formal reviews
- Collaborate with development teams on functional specifications and technical designs, ensuring alignment with business priorities
- Lead acceptance testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT), with client execution, and pre-UAT acceptance testing
- Experience as a Delivery Manager in a technology team, preferably within a financial services organization
- Strong knowledge of equity or debt products, ideally across the full product lifecycle
- Understanding of compliance functions in investment banking (e.g., Trade Surveillance, Information Barriers, and Employee Surveillance)
- In-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC), with the ability to choose appropriate tools and methodologies
- Experience in writing clear, concise project statuses for senior management, along with strong systems and data analysis skills (Structured Query Language (SQL) and data tools
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills, able to work independently and creatively in a fast-paced, Agile environment
- Knowledge of surveillance is a significant advantage
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences effectively
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to follow up or escalate issues when necessary
- Proven team player, collaborative in ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards upheld
