Dev Technology Group is looking for an experienced Release Manager to support both Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and new development efforts for a federal government client. The ideal candidate will have relevant release management experience, strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex work activities in a deadline-driven environment. This is a great opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that provide clear value to end users and our federal government clients.
What You'll Be Doing :
The Release Manager is responsible for the overall coordination and timely delivery of releases as they are deployed from development, testing, UAT, and production environments. Release Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Documenting risk to delivery timelines and communicating impacts to schedule immediately to all stakeholders (ITPMs, Product Owners, User Testers, and development teams).
- Proposing and executing mitigation plans to minimize performance and / or delivery schedule impacts.
- Collaborating with release managers from the government agency, external stakeholders and organizations, and internal program stakeholders, to identify dependencies and impacts to program release schedules.
- Working with the Requirements Team and UAT testers from the Business to communicate development completion dates and testing schedules.
- Working with the Quality Assurance Automation Engineer Team Lead, Scrum Masters, Lead Software Security Developer, POAM Project Manager, and Cloud Architect / Engineers to develop release plans, deploy release plan bug fixes, and address Root Cause Analysis (RCAs).
