Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation & Setup:
· Operate manual and/or CNC lathes to produce precision parts.
· Load and unload raw materials and finished components.
· Perform basic machine setup and changeovers as needed.
· Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality standards.
Quality Control & Inspection:
· Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify part dimensions.
· Identify and report any defects or inconsistencies in machined parts.
· Make basic adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
· Recognize and troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
· Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubrication.
· Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Qualifications:
· Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience operating lathes (manual or CNC).
· Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and measuring tools.
· Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of machine operations and maintenance.
· Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or Okuma controls (for CNC operators).
· Knowledge of basic programming or editing CNC programs.
· Previous experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or aerospace industries.
Work Conditions:
· Shift: 2nd Shift – 3:20 PM to 11:00 PM.
