JOB SUMMARY:
The material planner is an essential part of the manufacturing team and ensures the materials necessary for all manufacturing operations. In addition, these planners ensure that their company never runs out of critical manufacturing materials. They work both as part of a team and independently in various settings.
DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Sending requests for quotes to vendors for best pricing.
· Printing the requirements summary for each assignment.
· Updating pricing in E2.
· Purchase raw material- Responsible for correct dimensions, correct material, spec, and quantities.
· Responsible for contacting the outside vendors to keep track of open orders and assuring on-time completion.
· Send out purchase orders to vendors- responsible for correct information- such as cost, part number, dimensions, and quantity.
Required Skill /Abilities:
· Computer Skills.
· The ability to work well under pressure.
· Critical thinking skills.
· Excellent time management skills.
Educations and Experience:
· A high school diploma or equivalent experience
· Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
