Summary of Position:
The Technician will apply various technologies to test and modify manufacturing machinery and equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Ensures quality and consistency in production processes by assessing, modifying, and calibrating equipment
· Ensures efficiency and productivity by evaluating and modifying production processes and equipment.
· Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with equipment, devices, or products; uses precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to make adjustments
· Gathers and arranges materials
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to communicate with engineering, technical support, sales, and management
· Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience:
· Associate degree or a postsecondary certificate in a related discipline required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· At least two years of related experience are required.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds plus
· Manual dexterity to evaluate, install and modify equipment
