Job Overview
As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating logistics and transportation operations. You will be responsible for communicating effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
Duties
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities
- Communicate with drivers to ensure on-time deliveries
- Utilize phone systems and software to track shipments and update information
- Collaborate with 3PL partners for efficient logistics management
- Assist in fleet management and optimization
- Utilize transportation management systems for routing and tracking
- Support supply chain operations through effective coordination
- Familiarity with SyteLine software for order processing
- Knowledge of GIS for route planning and optimization
Qualifications
- Experience in logistics or dispatching roles preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact with drivers, customers, and team members
- Proficient typing skills for data entry and documentation
- Knowledge of phone systems for effective communication
- Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus
- Understanding of supply chain principles
- Experience in fleet management is beneficial
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
