We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and claims.
Responsibilities
- Utilize knowledge of medical records, ICD-10, and medical terminology to accurately code and bill claims
- Handle medical collections, ensuring timely payment from insurance companies and patients
- Work with DRG systems to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures
- Collaborate with the medical office staff to resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Ensure compliance with all relevant coding and billing regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in medical billing, coding, and collections
- Proficiency in using medical billing software and systems
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in medical billing or related field is a plus
