Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Assistant to provide compassionate care and support to patients in various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical documentation and a passion for assisting individuals in need.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Monitor and report changes in patient's condition to healthcare professionals
- Help patients with mobility and transferring, including the use of lifts when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure the well-being of patients
Requirements
- Experience in dementia care, pediatrics, nursing homes, long-term care, home care, behavioral health, assisted living, and infectious disease care is preferred
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and patience when working with patients
- Certification or training in patient care is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 per hour
