Responsibilities
- Review and process prior authorization requests for medical services
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant guidelines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prior authorization requests and approvals
Skills
- Proficiency in medical coding, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes
- Knowledge of managed care and insurance verification processes
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and documentation
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Experience working in an office setting, preferably in a medical or dental office
