Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in governmental accounting and regulatory reporting, with proficiency in accounts receivable and general ledger accounting. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and cash flow analysis.
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports as required by governmental agencies.
- Collaborate with team members on public accounting projects and provide support for audits.
- Utilize Quicken software for financial management and reporting purposes.
- Provide insights related to wills, trusts, estate law, and other relevant financial matters as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in governmental accounting and regulatory reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and general ledger accounting principles.
- Familiarity with cash flow analysis techniques and balance sheet reconciliation methods.
- Proficiency in Quicken or similar accounting software is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $56.00 - $65.00 per hour
