Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with behavioral health needs, implementing therapeutic interventions based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Your primary focus will be to support clients in developing essential skills while collecting and documenting data to track progress. This position requires a strong understanding of behavioral therapy and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst.
- Provide direct support to children with behavioral challenges, fostering skill development in various settings.
- Collect and record data on client behavior and progress, ensuring accuracy for medical documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling medical records and sensitive information.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes for clients.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health and special education.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or behavioral challenges.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices related to behavioral health.
- Strong data collection skills for tracking client progress effectively.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Previous experience in special education or related fields is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
