Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate dietary needs and preferences.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans, including weight loss strategies and tube feeding protocols when necessary.
- Provide health coaching to patients, guiding them on dietary choices that promote overall well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for patients within hospital systems.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations to identify nutritional deficiencies or concerns.
- Educate patients and their families about nutrition-related topics and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Stay updated on the latest research in dietetics and apply evidence-based practices in patient care.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or related field; Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential preferred.
- Experience in geriatrics or hospital settings is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physiology as it relates to nutrition and health.
- Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and developing tailored nutrition plans.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Pay: $48.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
