Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to established protocols and standards. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform routine assessments, including taking vital signs and monitoring patient conditions.
• Assist in procedures such as IV insertion, spinal taps, and specimen collection processing.
• Provide support in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care for patients transitioning from hospital to home or other facilities.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical office standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, medication usage, and post-discharge instructions.
• Support geriatric patients by addressing their unique healthcare needs.

Experience

• Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in geriatrics or emergency room (ER) environments.
• Proficiency in coding for medical records is a plus.
• Familiarity with specimen collection processing techniques is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
