Job Overview

Duties
- Assist nurses and physicians with patient assessments and care procedures.
- Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, grooming, and feeding as needed.
- Support patients with mobility assistance and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Participate in training sessions and educational programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to emergency medicine, hospital medicine, and trauma care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings such as Level I Trauma Centers, Level II Trauma Centers, PICUs, medical-surgical units, ORs, and teaching hospitals.
Skills
- Knowledge of emergency medicine principles is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with procedures specific to Level I and Level II Trauma Centers is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as inpatient units or surgical areas.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to patient support within various medical specialties.
