Registered Nurse (RN Occupational Health)

2pm-10pm - 1 position w/ Sun/Mon off another w/Wed/Thu off

Provides patient care as directed: administers medication (e.g., oral intramuscular & intravenous) & monitors patient medication compliance; performs treatments; performs or assist with nurse’s sick call; assist with doctor’s sick call; performs or assist with nursing management of chronic care clinics; responds to emergencies providing emergency care & cardiopulmonary resuscitation; performs subjective & objective assessment of patients; collects vital signs & timely documents all findings; collects urine &/or other bodily fluid specimens; prepares patients for release or transfer to other facilities (e.g., intrasystem by reviewing patient care, transfer summaries or release summaries; ensures discharge medication orders are completed & timely forwarded to pharmacy services; participates in work-related training & institution training exercises.

Provides assistance to other healthcare staff; investigates & documents problem areas or areas of concern; reviews shift report from preceding shift(s); assist physicians with medical procedures; assumes duties of other nurses during absences; counsels/provides education to patients regarding healthcare maintenance & prevention of disease; participates in quality assurance activities; provides training & work direction to new nurses, agency nurses, licensed practical nurses, &/or hospital aides; serves as a resource person for other healthcare & security staff regarding healthcare matters; provides orientation & training for new healthcare personnel at the direction of the Nursing Supervisor; serves as the lead clinical authority on site in the absence of the HCA, QIC, medical director &/or advanced level provider staff; participates in group programming; participates in health & wellness initiatives.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $47.00 - $57.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
