Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health conditions in a clinical setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Psychiatric Nurse will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status and physical needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, and cardiac catheterization as needed.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment options, medication management, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Assist in the management of acute psychiatric crises within the clinic or hospital setting.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license in the state of practice.
- Experience in psychiatric nursing or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Proficiency in performing clinical skills such as IV insertion, catheterization, and infection control measures.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as required.
- Familiarity with esthetic laser treatment is a plus but not required.
- Experience working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or hospital medicine is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Pay: $51.00 - $59.00 per hour
