Summary
As a Social Worker, you will be instrumental in providing support and guidance to individuals facing various challenges, including mental health issues and addiction. Reporting to the management team, your role will involve crisis intervention and behavioral health management within a corrections facility medical clinic. With a Master's degree and supervising experience, you will utilize your core skills in social work and premium skills in crisis management to enhance the well-being of clients. Your relevant skills in motivational interviewing and child welfare will further empower you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those you serve.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervision
- Supervises a multidisciplinary team approach in the professional delivery of clinical and treatment services
- Schedule workload, assigns priorities, and evaluates performance
- Provides technical expertise and advice to management in developing and implementing policies and objectives
- Provides program design and direction
- Provides specialized clinical/rehabilitative services
- Consults with and trains staff
- Coordinates program with other services
- May serve on-call and be a designated examiner
- May perform psychometric testing or social work services
Community Organization
- Organizes, coordinates, and participates with groups to develop support and service partnerships and expanded community options for residents
- May oversee contractor-provided services
Minimum Qualifications (MQ):
- Master's degree in behavioral science or related field (social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric nursing)
- Three (3) years working with families or children in a social service setting and two (2) years in staff supervision.
- Some knowledge of:
o supervisory practices, community organization/development principles and processes.
o evidence-based behavior modification practices.
- Experience providing social/treatment services in a correctional, institutional, clinical and/or community-based setting; providing in-service skills training to professional staff. Some knowledge of human services to include psychology, mental health, or social work.
- Experience with behavior management for individuals diagnosed with mental illness and developmental disabilities.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $27.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
