Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dispatcher to join our team. Job Description

A senior level position that ensures safe and efficient traffic movement and monitors roadways including detecting, confirming, updating, and responding to scheduled and unscheduled traffic incidents, congestion, and travel time imbalances.

Duties

• Manage daily dispatch operations by assigning routes and schedules to drivers.
• Utilize GPS and fleet management software to monitor vehicle locations and optimize delivery routes.
• Communicate effectively with drivers via phone systems, ensuring they have the necessary information for their routes.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all freight is handled efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and any issues that arise during transit.
• Use SyteLine and GIS tools to track shipments and analyze data for operational improvements.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette while addressing inquiries from clients regarding freight status or delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve any logistical challenges that may impact delivery timelines.

Experience

• Previous experience in dispatching or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with freight operations and logistics is highly desirable.
• Proficient in using phone systems, GPS technology, and fleet management software.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with drivers and clients alike.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy in record-keeping and reporting.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
