Overview
Are you ready to play a key role in keeping roadways safe and traffic flowing smoothly? We’re seeking skilled and detail-oriented Traffic Management Center Operators for an advanced-level role with minimal supervision, using cutting-edge technology to monitor and manage traffic incidents in real-time.
Duties
- Monitor roadways using CCTV, detection systems & traffic software.
- Respond to traffic incidents, congestion, and travel time delays.
- Operate computer-based traffic management systems to improve flow & safety.
- Accurately post updates and alerts via DMS (Dynamic Message Signs) and 511 systems.
- Coordinate with Highway Patrol, Fire Rescue, and other emergency teams.
- Dispatch Service Patrols and assist with communication tasks.
- Maintain high awareness of road networks and incident response protocols.
Skills
- Experience in traffic operations or a related field preferred.
- Comfortable with technology and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights/weekends.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to public safety.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
