Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (Weekends)

Summary:

The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is a Team Member who is involved in equipment repair and preventive maintenance to prevent downtime of machinery consistent with company goals, business unit Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to include safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and customer service.

The Maintenance Technician will be expected to maintain a consistent level of communication with other departments (Quality, Warehouse, Production, etc...) and ensure production priorities and shortfalls are addressed in a timely fashion.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

• Functions as a member of the shift Maintenance Team and rapidly responds to equipment related problems.
• Observes all safety guidelines including LOTO, company rules and regulations, and good manufacturing practices (GMPs) in the performance of duties.
• Communicates information to Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor and Leadership team regarding technical issues, equipment problems, and continuous improvement ideas.
• Applies troubleshooting skills in a wide variety of machine applications in response to production requirements (VFDs, Electrical Controls, Power Distribution Systems, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems, HVAC, etc..).
• Responsible for root-cause analysis on mechanical and electrical issues.
• Documents equipment repairs/findings onto work orders for input into Maintenance Management System (MMS).
• Performs Preventative Maintenance (PM's), inspections and/or repair of equipment during shutdowns which may require weekend work and/or shift reassignment in response to production requirements.
• Supports the installation and start-up of new equipment.
• Performs welding and machine shop tasks related to repair of equipment and machinery.
• Works with equipment vendors or technical representatives on re-builds, service visits and equipment training to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoots control wiring, relay logic, motor drive circuits, control system devices, photo eyes, limit switches, proximity switches, and transducers.
• Utilizes Digital Multi Meter, Mega OHM Meter and Amp probes to diagnose electrical problems.
• Perform Machine Adjustments as needed in support of production.
• Assist In Product Change Overs as required in support of production.
• Has knowledge and understands OSHA, HACCP, IFS, ISO and Safety requirements within a food manufacturing environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

• Must Be Able to Read a Multi Meter
• Must Be Able Read and Understand Technical Manuals
• Must Be Able to Read Electrical Prints, Hydraulic Prints, and Pneumatic Prints
• Must Be Able to Read Micrometer, Calipers, And Tape Measure in Both Metric and Standard
• Experience With AC/DC Control Circuits 120 VAC/ 24VDC
• Experience With Power Distributions Systems 480/277 VAC
• Must be physically able to climb on ladders and portable stairways
• Must be able to work from heights
• Constant standing and/or walking on concrete floors are required.
• Must be able to move, lift, slide, push or carry heavy objects or materials.
• Must be able to be in awkward positions for extended Periods of Time
• Must Be to Work Overtime and Holidays

Professional Qualifications:

• Applicant must be a committed team worker with a keen sense of responsibility and excellent attention to detail.
• 2 Yrs. Technical School or Associates Degree Preferred
• Experience:
• Minimum 3 Years Industrial Maintenance Experience Required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.52 - $30.75 per hour
