Summary:
Coordinates team activities and performs duties related to the receipt and proper disposition of supplies, ingredients and product in support of other operating business units. Performs duties and responsibilities for the business unit consistent with company goals and business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to include safety, quality, productivity and customer service. Is proficient in the use of ERP systems (Microsoft D365FO).
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- Coordinates team assignments/rotations to ensure appropriate workflow and efficiency in meeting receiving/warehousing requirements, coordinates time off to ensure appropriate staffing and relieves team members as needed.
- Monitors team performance to ensure adherence to safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Provides constructive feedback as needed and advises the warehouse supervisor of performance problems or violations of policy and procedures.
- Monitors the receiving/warehousing operation by conducting periodic audits and observing performance of duties. Provides assistance and coaching to Material Handlers as needed.
- Works closely with team members to provide development and cross training in all aspects of the operation so that they will meet specifications required in the certification process (IFS, ISO, OSHA, etc..).
- Prepares shift reports and provides timely, reliable data on quality, equipment damage or mechanical problems, rework, downtime, team efficiencies, team member performance, destroyed product etc., and submits to the warehouse supervisor.
- Monitors quality of product and materials.
- Transfers defective materials received in the warehouse to isolation area and prepares documentation for appropriate credit from the vendor.
- Interfaces with other business units on production related problems.
- Conducts team meetings before and after each shift.
- Performs troubleshooting of problem situations, identifies potential solutions and assists in problem resolution to expedite the flow of work in meeting internal customer requirements. Provides inventory support in helping locate materials and correct improper placements.
- Monitors forklift performance, performs basic equipment troubleshooting and coordinates with vendor if work is required.
- Acts as the second level of verification for Chep pallets by verifying location and pallet count with order.
- Helps to maintain and develop a state-of-the-art ERP system (Microsoft D365FO)
- Recommends process or quality improvements to the warehouse supervisor.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
As an operating Warehouse Lead, may perform any or all of the following duties:
- Receives materials into the facility and performs a general inspection to identify any problems.
- Unloads all pallets for transport to the staging area, warehouse location or other designated area and checks packing list/bill of lading for completeness and/or any discrepancies.
- Completes paperwork on received products, enters data into computer system and prints pallet labels, as appropriate.
- Labels pallets before transporting to the appropriate warehouse location. Rotates stack (FIFO).
- Ensures that appropriate supplies and products are staged for each department.
- Keeps appropriate levels of pallets and cardboard at designated areas for production. Removes pallet bins and discarded cardboard sheets, as appropriate.
- Transports products from the packaging line to the appropriate warehouse location.
- Operates the floor scrubber and mops, cleans and dusts, as needed, to maintain the warehouse and ensure a clean, safe and organized work area.
- Separates materials for recycling and transports to the appropriate location.
- Verifies lot codes and completes production reports and other required documentation.
- Performs minor maintenance and basic machinery troubleshooting on forklift equipment.
- Maintains OSHA Certified Forklift License status.
- Observes all safety and company rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
Qualifications:
- Computer skills (Microsoft office, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and ERP system) High school diploma or GED required.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of working a flexible schedule.
Experience:
- 2 – 3 years’ previous warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment and in a lead position preferred.
- Applicant must be a committed team worker with a strong sense of responsibility and excellent attention to detail.
- Forklift experience required.

Pay: $21.71 - $24.15 per hour
