Devis is seeking an experienced IT Specialist will support the ServiceNow initiative by providing hands-on technical support, system administration, and operational troubleshooting. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to implement, configure, and maintain the ServiceNow platform. The IT Specialist will play a key role in system integration, performance monitoring, and process optimization, ensuring the ServiceNow environment meets the clients guidelines and operational requirements. Initially the position will be performed remotely, but this position is expected to transition in line with the agency's Return to Office policy, with the office located in suburban Maryland outside Washington, DC. Primary Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and related IT systems.
- Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues to ensure continuous, high-quality service delivery.
- Collaborate with developers, IT analysts, and project managers to gather technical requirements and support system integrations.
- Assist in testing new configurations and updates prior to deployment, ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.
- Provide end-user support and troubleshooting to resolve system issues in a timely manner.
- Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and standard operating procedures in compliance with IRS guidelines and 508 accessibility standards.
- Participate in change management and transition activities, including knowledge transfer sessions and system documentation updates.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices and internal quality standards in all IT operations.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing system performance and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT support, system administration, or a related technical role.
- Proven 1-3 years’ experience working with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices.
- Proficiency in system monitoring tools, documentation software, and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with government contracts and familiarity with IRS standards, regulatory requirements, and 508 accessibility guidelines.
- Prior experience supporting large-scale ServiceNow implementations or IT transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of system integration concepts, including API usage and middleware technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments, such as Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with change management and process improvement in IT operational settings.
