POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As a member of the DMA team, the Development Manager will be responsible for managing the construction of a new 250 unit apartment complex, consisting of several individual buildings as part of a larger mixed-use development.
The Development Manager will work under the guidance of a DMA Principal.
CORE FUNCTIONS
This role will necessitate a person with a multidisciplinary skillset and a highly organized work pattern and strong attention to detail.
- Prepare and maintain project budgets.
- Prepare and maintain development schedules.
- Enforcing Owner/Client performance and quality standards.
- Coordinating any design and construction changes and approvals during the project.
- Overseeing project construction progress and quality.
- Managing and coordinating general contractor, owner’s vendors through the completion of construction and project closeout.
- Creation and upkeep of project reports and status updates.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Direct experience in construction project management, including project responsibility from conception to completion, where project budget was $20 million or more
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in, Architecture or Construction Management
- Minimum 15 years of experience working as a Development Manager or Senior Project Manager, with experience in multi-family construction.
- Experience working in all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, etc.) is required.
- Ability to read and comprehend construction documents and consultant and contractor agreements.
- Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
- Team player who can work with all disciplines involved in the project
