LOCATION OPENINGS: Various DDM Home Locations - YOU WILL WORK FULL TIME HOURS
DAY SHIFT: 9AM - 9PM

DDM, Inc has immediate openings for Direct Support Professional FLOATERS
Position Summary: The Direct Support Professional (DSP) Floater provides critical support to individuals with developmental disabilities across multiple residential homes within the Developmental Disabilities Ministries, Inc. (DDM). This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and extensive knowledge of DDM policies and procedures. The DSP Floater will fill in for vacancies, vacations, and call-outs, ensuring continuity of care and support for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and community involvement.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents by monitoring their physical and emotional health.
- Implement and follow individualized support plans (ISPs) for each resident, promoting their personal growth and development.
- Assist residents with medication administration and documentation in accordance with DDM policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment, encouraging residents to achieve their goals and participate in community activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, including daily logs, incident reports, and communication logs.
- Communicate effectively with other DSPs, supervisors, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Travel between various DDM homes as needed, providing support and coverage for DSP staff absences.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of DDM policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance in all aspects of care.
Requirements
- Minimum educational requirements specified in licensing regulations (currently high school diploma or GED). Must bring a copy of your diploma.
- At least 21 (twenty-one) years of age.
- Hold prior to employment a valid Georgia driver’s license (with no more than 2 driving violations in the past 3 years; no DUI or super speeder tickets).
- Receive satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report, Criminal Record Check, Physician’s Statement, and TB test.
- Basic computer skills.
- Able to demonstrate the principles of meal planning and preparation, personal hygiene, proper manners, personal conduct, and good grooming.
- Writing and documentation skills.
- Working skills in communicating and dealing effectively with others.
- Experience or training in the field of Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, Special Education, or Social Services is a plus.
