Monday- Friday 8am-3pm, or 830am-330pm (no weekends)Pay : (Bachelor)$45,000-$72,500.00. (Masters) $50,000-$83,000.00About Us : We are committed to providing exceptional educational and therapeutic services to children with developmental disabilities. Our Childrens Day Program serves children aged 5 years to 21 years, laying the foundation for lifelong learning, independence, and success.Your Role : As a Special Education Teacher in our Children’s Day Programs, you’ll play a vital role in nurturing young learners through individualized instruction and collaborative support. Your work will help children develop critical early learning skills and prepare them for future educational milestones.Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement age-appropriate IEPs.
- Deliver engaging, play-based instruction that promotes cognitive, motor, and social-emotional development.
- Foster a warm and nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, including speech, occupational, and physical therapists, to meet each child’s unique needs.
- Monitor and document progress, adapting teaching methods, as necessary.
- Conduct assessments and participate in team meetings to ensure support.Requirements / Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Certification : NYS Certification in Special Education or Students with Disabilities, Grade 1-6.
- Experience : Experience working with children with developmental disabilities (preferred).
- Skills : o Strong communication and relationship-building skills with young children and their families.o Creativity, patience, and flexibility in designing engaging learning activities.o Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices for special education.o Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.What We Offer :
