Job Description :
Quality Living Options (QLO) and DDRC are seeking compassionate Host Home Providers and Family Caregivers in the Jefferson County area. These work-from-home opportunities allow you to work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing essential support in a home setting while making a significant difference in their lives.
As a Host Home Provider , you will support an individual with developmental disabilities in your home, helping with daily living tasks, personal care, medical needs, behavioral support, and advocacy. You will create an environment that fosters independence and provide opportunities for social, recreational, and community involvement.
As a Family Caregiver through DDRC, you will provide support and care for a family member with intellectual and developmental disabilities within your home. Your responsibilities will include a variety of supports, such as medication management, assistance with hygiene, safety monitoring, transportation to appointments and activities, life skills training, and crisis intervention. You will ensure their supports aligns with the Person Centered Service Plan
Responsibilities :
- Provide supervision, care, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Assist with daily living activities including personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Administer and supervise medication as needed.
- Monitor safety and provide first aid when necessary.
- Facilitate transportation to appointments and recreational activities.
- Plan and assist with work, recreation, and community involvement.
- Offer budgeting assistance, life skills training (e.g., sex education and relationship building), and behavioral management.
- Provide crisis intervention when needed.
- Complete required documentation and attend meetings or monitoring sessions as requested.
