Description
The LIMHP is a professional person with the overall responsibility for directing the programmatic and clinical aspects of the day and residential program. Significant aspects of the work include: casework with individuals served by the program to address mental health or behavioral health needs; be familiar with a variety of therapeutic models includingApplied Behavior Analysis, consulting with and training House Managers and Direct Support Professionals in behavioral interventions including documentation and behavioral support strategies, oversight of the Individual Program Plan (IPP) process, developing and maintaining effective partnerships with local and state agencies, developing and maintaining interagency and community relationships, and exercise of independent judgment within a broad framework of rules, regulations and policies to insure compliance with DD regulations.

This position must be held by a licensed individual. Minimum of Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) is required; Independent Practitioner’s License (LIMHP) is preferred.
Essential Job Responsibilities Program Development
- Participate in the screening of all prospective consumers by reviewing referral packets, interviewing the individual, and meeting with involved family, clinicians and service coordinators
- Make recommendations of needed supports and environmental adaptations
- Arrange for and evaluate clinical services provided by external agencies
- Reviews case management activities, goals and rules with DDCN team
Behavior Support Plans
- Write and review the development of Functional Behavior Assessments completed by agency personnel and provides direction for all services.
- Write and review all DDCN’s clients Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)
- Development, training and implementation of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), utilizing positive behavior supports including behavior modification strategies, community integration, health, recreation, activities of daily living, etc. to ensure quality service delivery
- Conducts a comprehensive pre-treatment assessment, including 5 axis diagnostic impression and treatment recommendations; refers if other services are needed.
- Maintain BSP goals database
- Adhere to all Federal, State, Local codes, rules and regulations as they pertain to licensing, certification and ongoing operation of agency programs.
General Duties
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure comprehensive training program that will equip all staff to perform all programmatic duties competently.
- Attend IPP meetings as necessary
- Liaison to families, service coordinators, medical personnel, consultants, providers, and Internal Review Committee
- Monitor incident reports
- Provide leadership and direction to all staff
- Develop and maintain working relationships with other agencies, community organizations, or other interested parties regarding program objectives and services
- Collaborate with others Director, Quality Assurance, Coordinator of services and Manager to insure compliance with all licensing, regulatory and/or contractual obligations
- Conduct periodic on-site review of service delivery
- Prepare various documents and reports as required or requested by agency and DDS officials
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or equivalent training and experience in Human Services;
- Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy
- License Eligible-LMHP and PLADC
- LADC or CADC or substance abuse treatment experience preferred
- Minimum three years’ experience in supervising professional staff in a Human Services agency;
- Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures for program services;
- Experience with DD Licensing;
- Experience with the DD population preferred;
- Valid Nebraska State driver's license.
Additional Requirements
- Required to have a “negative” response from the criminal repository
- Must be at least 21 years of age for employment
- If responsible for driving while on work time, must have a have a valid driver’s license, proof of registration, and insurable driving record
- Basic fluency in oral and written English
- State required training and/or certifications preferred
