Job Description

The Behavior Technician Trainer is responsible for conducting training sessions for new and existing BTs, ensuring adherence to company policies, ethical guidelines, and best practices in behavioral therapy. This role includes reviewing onboarding policies, BT manuals, and providing continuous professional development to enhance the quality of care.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Onboarding

  • Conduct new hire onboarding sessions, introducing policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Train BTs on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles, company policies, and ethical standards.
  • Ensure all new hires understand and can implement BT manual guidelines effectively.

Policy & Compliance

  • Review and update onboarding materials to align with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Ensure BTs adhere to HIPAA, professional ethics, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct periodic policy refresher trainings for existing staff.

    • BT Manual Implementation

  • Regularly review the BT manual and update it based on best practices and company standards.
  • Ensure all BTs have access to and understand the manual’s guidelines.
  • Provide ongoing support and clarification on BT responsibilities.

    • Training Methods & Support

  • Use various training techniques, including hands-on practice, role-playing, and case studies.
  • Provide feedback and performance evaluations during the training process.
  • Work closely with supervisors to address skill gaps in BTs.

    • Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure completion of onboarding checklists.
  • Collect feedback on training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Report compliance issues or training deficiencies to management.

    • Qualifications

    Education : High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred.

    Experience : Prior experience as a Behavior Technician (BT), Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), or Trainer in ABA therapy. Certifications : RBT certification preferred.

  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and behavior intervention strategies.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to effectively interpret and explain company policies.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly punctual and professional
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office 365
  • Bilingual -Spanish preferred but not required
