Job Description
Developmental Pathways is seeking a Medical Billing Assistant with experience in an ABA setting to work in our corporate office. The ideal candidate must possess the skills necessary to improve our current billing procedures and support our billing functions and goals. The successful applicant will work on a number of tasks requiring data analysis, in-depth evaluation and exercising judgement within the appropriate scope of practice. Responsibilities:
Tracking denied/unpaid claims
Contacting insurance companies to reprocess claims at the appropriate rate(s)
Completing eligibility and benefit verifications per company standards 2x per month
Assisting with billing projects (As needed)
Reviewing unpaid claims exceeding 60 days to ensure timely payment
Meet deadlines expectations
Regularly report to billing management team regarding work statuses/obstacles/etc.
Attend billing staff meetings as requested
Insurance Collection analysis, reporting, follow-up to completion.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required.
Minimum 2 years’ experience within the Medical Billing industry
Experience with ABA service codes (Preferred)
Experience with Office Ally (Required)
Experience with Central Reach (Preferred)
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and direct management team
Able to multi-task
Excellent problem-solving skills and organized
Knowledge of Microsoft systems i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Etc.
License:
· Driver's License (Required)
Pay Frequency:
· Bi weekly or Twice monthly
Pay:
· Hourly: Starting $18.00 (upon knowledge and experience)
Schedule:
· Day shift (Hours TBD)
