Developmental Pathways (DP) has an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Community Affairs within our Community Engagement Department. The Manager of Community Affairs will be responsible for budget management, data oversight, and event planning. This position will be responsible for leading and nurturing key relationships between DP and our community partners, while driving efforts to foster collaboration with local agencies and organizations.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating meaningful impact through community engagement initiatives aimed at supporting individuals and families. We are seeking a disability subject matter expert who possesses strong organizational, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication skills.
This role offers a 4-day, 40-hour work week, typically Monday-Thursday, and includes the flexibility to work remotely, as well as the opportunity to collaborate in-person at our headquarters office in Aurora, CO, and/or at off-site locations. As needed this role will require flexibility in scheduling to accommodate community events and ensure active participate in key engagements.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or in place of a bachelor's degree
- We will consider a combination of 3 years of supervisory and/or community partnership building experience
- One (1) year or more of experience in Developmental Disabilities and/or Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS)
- A working knowledge of current issues and initiatives in the fields of disability, community resources, and education
- One (1) year of experience developing community partnerships
- A minimum of two (2) years of project management experience
- A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of team lead/senior level experience
- Possesses strong communication (written, verbal, and public speaking) skills with the ability to present concepts, information, and educational material to interested parties with varying backgrounds. This includes a minimum of one (1) year or more of public speaking experience
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), Google Sheets, Smartsheet, etc. and be able to use these and other required programs
- Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate
- Valid Colorado motor vehicle license and proof of motor vehicle insurance
- Ability to meet our driving requirements - no suspensions/ no more than two tickets in the past three years
Upon request, qualifying need, and approval, driving requirements may be waived in lieu of reliable transportation.
Preferred
- A minimum of one (1) year of management and supervisory experience
- Able to speak, write, and interpret fluently in English and Spanish based on the business needs
- Ability to complete all responsibilities in English and Spanish
- Support with written translation of internal documents for use by stakeholders, as appropriate
Additional Responsibilities
- Partner to provide oversight and leadership of community engagement activities
- Oversee and conduct workgroups, trainings, presentations, etc. to both internal and external audiences
- Provide oversight of provider relations including newsletters, meeting organization and facilitation, and related web content
- Provide project management support in program development and in planning community and staff events; support administrative team to assist with a wide variety of projects and events
- Assist with creating and implementing departmental goals and objectives and ensures they align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives; seeks input from team members, and makes sure supervisees are aware of established goals and objectives
- Assist in the effective creation and implementation of agency policies and procedures as related to their core business section; assure state, federal, and local regulatory and contractual guidelines are met as appropriate
- Identify trends within staffing and programming; address them proactively; manage budget; approve expenditures; ensure team members are aware of budgetary, policy, and procedural goals and constraints; ensure team members make decisions in alignment with local programming goals
- Ensure appropriate, effective, and reliable tracking and reporting systems are in place to support projects and outreach programming; monitors those systems to ensure data integrity according to agency standards; manage compliance of programming outcomes
