Developmental Pathways (DP) is seeking a Senior Accountant II to join our Finance team. This role will provide advanced-level accounting support for the preparation and presentation of timely financial statements. The Senior Accountant II will be responsible for detailed account transactions in the general ledger which could include advanced-level journal entries, account reconciliations, assessing control risk, reporting, and analytics. This role will provide general ledger support and completes/leads advanced projects as required. In addition, the Senior Accountant II will act as a team lead providing guidance to less experienced team members.
This role offers a 4-day, 40-hour workweek, Monday-Thursday, and includes the flexibility to work remotely, as well as the opportunity to collaborate in-person at our headquarters office in Aurora, CO, and/or at off-site locations.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or similar area
- 5 – 7 years of experience in a financial position
- Intermediate to Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Preferred
- In-depth understanding of ERP systems, i.e., Oracle NetSuite experience
- Self-motivated, eager to learn
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
Qualifications
Additional Responsibilities
- Responsible for complex revenue recognition contracts and adherence to the appropriate GAAP
- Standards
- Prepares, maintains, and reviews advanced-level account roll-forward analyses and other supporting documentation for internal and external audits
- Responsible for ongoing monthly general ledger entry preparation, accruals, and reconciliations, including timely research and correction of exceptions
- Supports Finance department with document retention; maintains needed administrative records
- Ensures forms are maintained and distributed to appropriate personnel and vendors
- Assists in monthly preparation, analyzing, and verifying financial documents to provide information to accounting leadership
- Responsible for fringe calculations, payroll analysis, and recognition
- Responsible for filing and compiling complex reports to/for the state
- Take the lead on special projects within the accounting function, researching issues and proposing potential solutions, discussing with key stakeholders, and contributing to improved accounting processes
- Understands data organization and can join datasets from multiple systems
